36″ And a Birthday in a Retirement Home

Wow. My pulse is still way up. In my post surgery recovery, I am finally starting to ride again. Today is the first time in over a year that I’ve pointed the bike uphill. There was a downhill to go with it.

Mavic Ksyrium ESI went for my first ride on the road today. It felt great. My big concerns were with manuvering and if I would have the ability to keep myself safe in traffic.

I Rode a Bike Today

I rode today, and it wasn’t on the stationary trainer.

It wasn’t my road bike either, but it was great.  I rode outside with my children.

Time on the (bike) Trainer

I am coming up on my 7 weeks post surgery. One week of being weight bearing again. I’ve got a long way to go, but I am very happy right now; I rode my bike on a stationary trainer.
