Last weekend we had a small family reunion of sorts for my side of the family.  The girls saw their cousin for the first time in way too long and had a lot of fun.  As a reminder that I am not getting any younger (no I don’t forget very often), mom had a birthday celebration for me Saturday night.  In my grandmothers retirement home.

Wow. My pulse is still way up. In my post surgery recovery, I am finally starting to ride again. Today is the first time in over a year that I’ve pointed the bike uphill. There was a downhill to go with it.

I went for my first ride on the road today. It felt great. My big concerns were with manuvering and if I would have the ability to keep myself safe in traffic.
